DIRECTIONS:

    Note: The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes, the instructions will be written thus ( ). Numbers for each size are shown in the same color throughout the pattern. When only one number is given in black, it applies to all sizes.

    Note: Body and Sleeves are worked in one piece.

    BACK
    **Beginning (beg) at lower edge of Back, chain (ch) 41 (43/45-47).
    1st row: (RS - Right Side). 1 single crochet (sc) in 2nd ch from hook and each chain (ch) to end of chain. Turn. 40 (42-44-46) sc.
    2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn. Repeat (rep) last row until work from beg measures approximately (approx) 6 (7-7 1/2- 8)" [15 (18-19-20.5) cm], ending on a Wrong Side (WS) row. Fasten off.**

    Shape Sleeves: 1st row: (RS). Ch 26 (28-32-34). Join this chain to Back and work 1 sc in each of next 40 (42-44-46) sc. Ch 27 (29- 33-35). Turn.
    2nd row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and each of next 25 (27-31- 33) ch. 1 sc in each of next 40 (42-44-46) sc. 1 sc in each of last 26 (28-32-34) ch. Turn. 92 (98-108- 1/4) sc.
    3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until work from sleeve shaping measures approx 4 (4 1/2-4 1/2-5)" [10 (11.5-11.5- 12.5) cm], ending on a WS row. Fasten off

    FRONT Work from ** to ** as given for Back.
    Shape Left Sleeve and front neck:
    1st row: (RS). Ch 26 (28- 32-34). Join this chain to Front and work 1 sc in each of next 8 (8-9-9) sc. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc.
    Turn. Leave remaining (rem) sts unworked.
    2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 12 (12-13-3) sc. 1 sc in each of last 26 (28-32-34) ch. Turn. 38 (40-45-47) sc.
    3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
    Rep last row until work measures same length as Back, ending on a WS row. Fasten off.

    Shape Right Sleeve and Front Neck: With RS facing, skip next 16 (18-18-20) sc. Join yarn with slip stitch (sl st) to back loop only of next sc. Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in same space (sp) as last sl st. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Working in both loops, 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Ch 27 (29- 33-35). Turn.
    2nd row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and each of next 25 (27-31- 33) ch. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn. 38 (40-45-47) sc.
    3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
    Rep last row until work measures same length as Back, ending on a WS row. Fasten off.

    Front Panel with buttonholes: With RS facing, join yarn with sl st to rem front loop of rst sc at left front neck. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. Working in rem front loops, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Working in both loops, 1 sc in each of next 16 (18-18-20) sc. Working in rem front loops, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Turn. 24 (26-26-28) sc.
    2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
    3rd row: (RS). (Buttonhole row). Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 2 sc. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in each sc to last 3 sc. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in each of last 2 sc. Turn.
    4th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Turn. Rep last row until work measures 6 (8-8-10) rows less than Back before shoulder, ending on a WS row.
    Next row: (RS). (Buttonhole row). Ch 1. 1 sc in each of rst 2 sc. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in each sc to last 3 sc. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in each of last 2 sc. Turn.
    Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Fasten off.

    FINISHING
    Pin work to measurements. Cover with a damp cloth leaving cloth to dry. Sew shoulder and sleeve seams. Sew side and sleeve seams.
    Sew on buttons to correspond to buttonholes
