SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Bernat® Blanket Extra™
  • Small: Burgundy Plum, 1 ball
  • Medium: Burnt Rose, 1 ball
  • Large: Gray Orchid, 1 ball
  • Size U.S. 17 circular knitting needle, 24" long or size needed to obtain gauge.

  • MEASUREMENTS
  • Small: Approx 10 1/2" diameter x 9" tall.
  • Medium: Approx 12 1/2" diameter x 6" tall.
  • Large: Approx 14" diameter x 11 1/2" tall.

  • GAUGE
  • 4.5 sts and 9 rows = 4" in garter stitch.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ). Numbers for each size are shown in the same order throughout the pattern. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes.
  2. Cast on 16 (14-21) sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
  3. **1st row: (RS). Knit.
  4. 2nd row: K15 (13-20). Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
  5. 3rd and alt rows: Knit.
  6. 4th row: K14 (12-19). Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
  7. 6th row: K13 (11-18). Turn Leave rem sts unworked.
  8. Cont in same manner, working 1 st less every following alt row until row: “K10 (7-13). Turn. Leave rem sts unworked" is complete.
  9. Next row: Knit.
  10. Next row: Knit all 16 (14-21) sts.** Rep from ** to ** 5 times more. Cast off.
  11. FINISHING
  12. Sew cast on and cast-off edges tog.
