Cable Panel (worked over 12 sts). 1st row: (RS). K12. 2nd and alt rows: P12. 3rd row: C8B. K4. 5th, 7th and 9th rows: K12. 11th row: K4. C8F. 13th and 15th rows: K12. 16th row: As 2nd row. These 16 rows form Cable Panel.
BLANKET Cast on 105 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, knit 9 rows, noting 1st row is WS. Next row: (WS). K1. [K4. (P3. M1P) twice. P4. K3] 6 times. K2. 117 sts. Proceed in pat as follows: 1st row: (RS). K5. *Work 1st row Cable Panel. K7. Rep from * 4 times more. Work 1st row Cable Panel. K5. 2nd row: K5. *Work 2nd row Cable Panel. K7. Rep from * 4 times more. Work 2nd row Cable Panel. K5. These 2 rows form garter st between Cable Panels. Cable Panel is now in position. Cont in pat until work from beg measures approx 58” [147.5 cm], ending on a 5th row of Cable Panel Pat. Next row: (WS). K1. [K4. (P2. P2tog) twice. P4. K3] 6 times. K2. 105 sts. Knit 7 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS).
