Directions
FRONT With A, cast on 53 sts. 1st row: K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row. Rep last row for Seed St Pat until work from beg measures 14" [35.5 cm]. Cast off.
BACK (make 2 pieces alike) With A, cast on 53 sts. 1st row: K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row. Rep last row for Seed St Pat until work from beg measures 7" [18 cm]. Next row: P1. *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row. Next row: K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row. Rep last 2 rows (K1. P1) ribbing until work from beg measures 8" [20.5 cm]. Cast off.
Ears (make 2 each with B and A) Cast on 13 sts. 1st row: Knit. 2nd row: Purl. Rep Rows 1 and 2 until work from beg measures 5" [12.5 cm]. Next row: ssk. Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog. Next row: Purl. Rep last 2 rows until 3 sts rem. Next row: K3tog. Fasten off.
Ear Assembly Hold WS of Front and Back Ears tog. With A, cast on 3 sts onto right-hand needle. Beg at bottom right corner of Ear, with RS facing and left-hand needle, *pick up and knit 1 st from edge of Ear. Slide 4 sts over to opposite end of needle. Bring yarn around to back of work, K2. K2togtbl. Rep from * around Edge of Ear, through both thicknesses to join and ending at bottom left corner. Sl1P. K2tog. psso. Fasten of.
Assembly With RS tog, overlap Back pieces to match Front, with ribbed sections in center to create opening to insert pillow form. Fold bottom corners of Ears in half, flatten and sew into position to Front 1" [2.5 cm] from top corners as shown in picture. Sew outer edge seams, enclosing Ears.
