Bernat Macrame Color Block Plant Hanger

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Bernat Macrame
• Contrast A Black (66006) 1 ball
• Contrast B Natural (66001) 1 ball
• Transparent tape
• Wooden ring approx 2 1/2" in diameter

DIRECTIONS:

MEASUREMENTS:
Approx 46" long to fit plant pot approximately 6-10" in diameter.

NOTES:
Tape ring to flat work surface for ease of working.
Do not tie knots too tightly. Tighten strands just enough to secure knot.
Trim ends of each Gathering Wrap close to wrap.

1. Cut 6 strands of A - 5yds long.
2. Thread all 6 strands through ring and bring ends even to fold in half, creating 12 strands.
3. Cut 2yds strand of B.
4. With B, tie Gathering Wrap 4" long around all 12 strands of B, just beneath ring. Trim ends of Gathering Wrap close to wraps.

5. Divide 12 strands of A into 3 groups of 4 strands.
6. Cut 9 strands of B - 1yd long for next series of wraps.
7. With 1 strand of B, tie Gathering Wrap 2" long around 1 group of A strands, 18" down from first wrap.

8. Repeat Steps 6 and 7 for remaining 2 groups of A strands. This creates first series of wraps.
9. Take 2 strands from first group of A strands and 2 strands from second group of A strand together. With 1 strand of B, tie Gathering Wrap 2" long around this new group of A strands, 3" down from previous series of wraps.

10. Take 2 remaining strands from second group of A strands and 2 strands from third group of A strand together. With 1 strand of B, tie Gathering Wrap 2" long around this new group of A strands, 3" down from first previous series of wraps.
11. Take 2 remaining strands from third group of A strands and 2 remaining strands from first group of A strand together. With 1 strand of B, tie Gathering Wrap 2" long around this new group of A strands, 3" down from previous series of wraps. This creates second series of wraps.

12. Repeat Steps 9 to 11 to create third series of wraps.
13. Cut 2yds strand of B.
14. With B, tie Gathering Wrap 4" long around all 12 strands of B, 3" down from previous series of wraps.

15. Trim A strands 12" down from last wrap.
