- Bernat® Blanket™ Perfect Phasing Yarn: 10.5 oz220 yds Contrast A: Deep Teal Yarn #43005 (1 ball)
- Silvalume™ Circular Knitting Needle: U.S. Size 11; 36" long (or size needed to obtain gauge)
- Yarn Needle
- T-pins
- Piece of Cardboard: 7" wide
Contrast B: Crimson Yarn #43002 (1 ball)
Contrast C: Fuchsia Yarn #43003 (1 ball)
Contrast D: Dark Blue Yarn #43006 (1 ball)

SIZE:
Approximately 40"x 50" (excluding tassels)
Gauge 7 sts & 14 rows = 4" in garter stitch.
DIRECTIONS:

Beg working from lightest end of yarn.
To maintain ombre effect, join next ball from opposite end so shades match (lightest end to lightest end or darkest end to darkest end) as necessary, resulting in a fade from dark-to-light to light-to-dark & back again across the blanket.
Work Kfb increases loosely to prevent edges from puckering.
Blanket:
Rectangle 1:
Make 1 each in A & D.
**Cast on 1 st.
1st row: (RS). (K1. yo. K1) all in same st. 3 sts.
2nd & alt rows: Knit.
3rd row: (Kfb) twice. K1. 5 sts.
5th row: (K1. Kfb) twice. K1. 7 sts.
7th row: K1. Kfb. Knit to last 2 sts. Kfb. K1. - 2 sts inc'd.
8th row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows until side edge measures 18", ending on a WS row.**
Cont work even as follows:
1st row: (RS). K1. K2tog. Knit to last 2 sts. Kfb. K1.
2nd row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows until longest side from the beginning measures 27".
***Cont dec as follows:
1st row: (RS). K1. K2tog. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
2nd row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows until there are 5 sts.
Next row: K1. K3tog. K1.
Next row: K3tog.
Fasten off.***
Rectangle 2:
Make 1 each in B & C.
Work from ** to ** as given for rectangle 1.
Cont work even as follows:
1st row: (RS). K1. Kfb. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
2nd row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows until longest side measures 27".
Work from *** to *** as given for rectangle 1.
Blocking:
Pin all completed panels to measure 18" x 27".
Cover with a damp towel to dry.
FINISHING:
Sew 4 rectangles tog using a flat seam.
Tassels:
Make 1 each in A, B, C and D.
Cut a piece of cardboard 7" wide.
Wind yarn around cardboard 30 times.
Break yarn leaving a long end & thread end through needle.
Slip needle through all loops & tie tightly.
Remove cardboard & wind yarn tightly around loops 2" below fold.
Fasten securely.
Cut through rem loops & trim ends evenly.
Sew 1 tassel to each corresponding corner of blanket.
