_x000D_ NOTES
_x000D_ To attach a new ball, simple start inserting the new balls first loop into the next available stitch on your scarf. Tie off the tail ends of the strands and weave them in later.
_x000D_
_x000D_ For best results, make sure before you insert each loop into the next, there is not a “twist” in the lp. A twist will result in a less even, more open look.

_x000D_ DIRECTIONS
_x000D_ With the end of the yarn, count off 11 loops.
_x000D_ Step 1: Taking the next lp (the 12th loop) in hand, insert the 12th lp from back to front into the 11th lp.
_x000D_ (1 st is made.)
_x000D_ Rep this process, inserting the 13th lp into the 10th lp, the 14th lp into the 9th lp, the 15th lp into the 8th lp, etc. across all the first 11 lps. (11 sts made.)
_x000D_ (You are essentially working from left to right across.) One row is complete.
_x000D_ Step 2: Turn your work so that the lp yarn end coming from the ball is on the left-hand side.
_x000D_ Working from left to right, rep as you did before, taking the next available lp from the yarn ball and inserting it (from back to front) into the last st you made. Rep this across all 11 sts.
_x000D_
_x000D_ Rep Step 2, inserting the lps into each stitch from back to front, until piece measures 34” from starting edge—tug gently lengthwise to help even out some of the sts and reveal the actual length.
_x000D_
_x000D_ Joining into a circle
_x000D_ Examine the edging along the first row. Looking at both sides of the beginning edge. Notice that one side has 2 rows of “Vs” and the opposite side will only have one row of “Vs”. With the piece folded in half so that the last row worked, and the beginning edge are together, position so that the beginning edge that has the 2 rows of “Vs” on top is facing you. Push through the last row of lps you made, from back to front, evenly into the first row’s edge—you will need to skip spaces to evenly distribute the lps.
_x000D_
_x000D_ Start at the end that does not have the yarn attached. Work Bind off until one lp remains.  Cut the last lp yarn and pull through. Fasten off.
_x000D_
_x000D_ FINISHING
_x000D_ Weave in all ends. Securely fasten off last lp with a bit of sewing thread and needle.
