Beginner Under 1 Hour

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 6 spools of 1/4" ribbon
  • Super glue
  • 2 eye screws
  • 1 1/4" dowel rod
  • Craft saw

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut (2) 3" length dowel rods.
  2. Screw the eye screws to the end of each cut piece of dowel.
  3. Cut 20 strips of ribbon at about 25" long (10 for each side).
  4. Thread each piece of ribbon halfway through the eye screw and knot in the middle so ribbon is securely attached to the eye screw.
  5. Repeat for all 10 ribbons.
  6. Do the same for both bike tassels.
  7. Attaching Dowel To Bike:
  8. Most children's bikes have a rubber hole at the end of handle bars on a bike. If bike does not have one, you could easily create one with a drill.
  9. Add super glue to dowel and slide it into the hole.
  10. Let dry for 24 hours.

JOANN Hacks:

  • Use a wood-burning tool to finish the ends of ribbon that frays as a safer option than flame.
