How To Get It
The Dritz 1'' 3Yds Braided Elastic Black comes with distinctive lengthwise horizontal ribs. This pack contains three yards of 1-inch-wide braided elastic which narrows when stretched and is ideal for waistbands and sleeve hems. Simply insert this lightweight elastic into casings or stitch it on the reverse side of fabrics to achieve the desired result. It is machine washable and dryable. Available in different colors, each sold separately.

Slacks alterations
When I purchase slacks, they fit the hips, but they are too big around the waist. I purchased this elastic to alter the waistband. I open up the waistband and insert the elastic to a comfortable fit. This product is sturdy enough to hold through many wearings and washings, and I prefer the darker color for jeans and dark slacks.
