How To Get It
Use the Dritz 3'' 2Yds Knit Elastic White for all projects that require lightweight fabrics. The pack contains two yards of 3-inch-wide knit elastic. This soft and strong elastic is curl-resistant and ideal for waistbands, leg bands, straps, gloves and lots more! Simply insert into casings or stitch directly on the reverse side of fabrics. It is not affected by needle piercing and is machine washable and dryable. Available in different colors, each sold separately.

Muffin top control
Great elastic for sewing/zigzagging to waistband of jeans or slacks. Controls muffin top and makes most low cut jeans more comfortable. I use hook and eye closure for the elastic band. Great stuff

Best non-roll elastic
Dritz 3" Knit Elastic. Black, 2 yd it fantastic. I usually cannot find Really wide elastic. The project I used it for needed the elastic to stay flat and not roll. I was very surprised this elastic stays just as it is put. I finally found my new brand of elastic.

Can cut lenghwise! :D
Using this for black elastic on masks. Thinner black elastic wasn't available so I've been cutting it lengthwise which is very tricky because this elastic is stiff, knit tightly, and its hard to see the ribbing. After terrible success using rotary I used some snipping type scissors and voila! Also once it's cut thinner it softens up a bit and it's still durable. Looks very nice.

It’s stiff elastic, not soft, but I cut it into 1/2 inch strips for masks to go around the head. Worked great! Not for around the ears, too stiff!

Will do in an emergency. Defs not first choice.
Used it for 1/4" mask ties. was told on several forums that this type of elastic (knit) can be cut length-wise. that worked only marginally well. still had lots of fraying. Also, i learned the hard way that black elastic should be washed before using. I made several dozen masks with it and then washed them all. The black bled on the cotton cloth coverings and discolored them all. Hard lesson learned. get elastic cut to proper size and wash it before using to avoid frustration.
