Black Trim Circle Pillow

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/2 yd black flannel
  • 2 1/2 yds black pompom trim
  • Tape
  • Chalk
  • String
  • Push pin
  • Cotton batting
  • Sewing machine & thread
  • Scissors or rotary cutter, cutting mat & straightedge
  • Straight Pins

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut flannel into two 18" squares. Tape down corners of one square, find the center and mark with the chalk. Tie string to chalk, and pin string so its length is 17" from the center. Pull string taut and make arcs around the center point to form a circle.
  2. Cut out circle and trace onto second square of flannel; cut out.
  3. Pin pompom trim around the perimeter of one of the circle pieces by placing the trim on top of the fabric, flat edge against the exterior, poms facing the interior.
  4. Place second circle on top, creating a sandwich, and pin.
  5. Sew around the circle, leaving 3" open to turn the pillow right-side out.
  6. Turn right-side out and stuff with cotton batting.
  7. Fold and pin open area; sew closed.
