SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 12" wide round basket
- 3 yds beaded mesh trim
- 1 yd gold tassel trim
- Embroidery scissors
- Hot glue gun/glue sticks
DIRECTIONS:
- Start by cutting on all of the serged edges off of the beaded mesh trim. Cut it all off in one long strip so you are essentially making a long skinny black and gold trim.
- Wrap the trim around the top and mark how much trim needed. Cut two.
- Glue the two strips of trim to the top of the basket.
- Do the same with the tassel trim. Measure, cut to length & glue.
- Now use the black and gold stitched trim that was made from the edges of the embroidered trim. Add the trim to make vertical stripes down the basket. Measure, cut & glue.
- The rest of the embroidery trim is used to make the beaded pattern detail. Cut out all of the beaded part of the trim and glue to the basket in a pattern.
JOANN Hacks:
- Add the glue to the trim, not the basket.
- Use pointed embroidery scissors to cut small items like trim.
