Nice!Lovely needles. Since they're metal, they're a tad slippery (I'm a beginner), but other than that I'm very happy with them.

Losing quality...Over the years I've amassed a case full of Boye knitting needles. They have kept their color & remain smooth moving over the 40+ years I've been knitting seriously. I needed a shorter set of 10.5 & chose Boye again. After just a few projects, the color has scraped off the tapered ends causing each stitch to be sticky. This hasn't happened to any of my older needles, where only the very tip of the point eventually turned silver. Sorry Boye, you've lost your mojo. I'm now looking for a needle made with the quality you used to provide.

Ditto!I am a beginning knitter also and I have used plastic and aluminum needles. I tried these for knitting with sugar and cream yarn (LOVE IT!) and these aluminum needles are just what I need for working with yarn that doesn't "give" as easily as wool. They are great! Beautifully made, too.

Great needles!I'm pretty new to knitting, having learned in the last month on my 2nd-grader's learning kit. I had good results with her plastic needles, but when she told me to get my own, I went looking for the cheapest. What I found, however, were needles so light and smooth that my stitches looked as though I'd been knitting for years! I won't buy anything else!

Nice NeedlesI have always loved slippery aluminum needles for my knitting and these are some of my favorites! Needle preference is a personal choice, but I've never really liked bamboo or plastic. Boye needles are hard to find in the small sizes in my local area, so it's great to see such a wide selection of sizes online! The only problem I've ever had is a little glare off the shiny surface if the lighting is just wrong.

If you like lightweight needlesBoye needles are an excellent choice. These needles really make a difference, when you knit big and heavy pieces. I also like how smooth they feel.

Boye NeedlesI have Lantern Moons and Addi Turbos, which I adore, but for the smaller gauges (US 8 and below) These are the only straight needles I'll use. I love them!
I just wish I could choose which color I want from your web site. They come in so many colors but you have no option for choosing which ones.

Go for bamboo or a different brand.anyway, these needles work ok. the yarn tends to slip rather easily. the needles bend VERY easily. after justs a weeks worth of use and caring around in my backpack they were no longer very straight. so if you can afford better or a different material go for bamboo or something else.
