DIRECTIONS:
- Measure from the top of head to the desired length of veil.
- Tape together the large kraft paper to the length and width of measurement.
- Measure from the bottom left corner to the top and mark your measurement, measure from the bottom left corner to the bottom right corner and mark measurement. Finally, measure from the bottom left corner diagonally at about a 45-degree angle and mark measurement.
- Wrap a length of string around a pencil and tie it in place. Bring the pencil to the top measurement mark, and hold the string tight at the bottom left corner. Arc the pencil from the top mark to the bottom mark, making sure to take it though the diagonal mark.
- Cut out quarter of a circle.
- Fold tulle in half and smooth it out. Fold tulle in half again, matching short edges, and smooth it out. Use weights to keep the tulle in place.
- Place quarter of a circle template over the tulle, matching corners, and use a rotary cutter with a mat beneath to cut the arc into the tulle.
- Unfold the tulle.
- Place the paper template back on top of the tulle to find the center of the circle. Mark the center of the circle with a pin.
- Try on the veil, first centering the veil on the top of head, then adjusting the placement as desired. Mark preferred comb placement with a pin.
- Prepare the hair comb by wrapping a long, thin piece of tulle scrap around the top of the comb and then through the teeth until there is a pad of tulle at top.
- Hand stitch the veil to the hair comb at the place where the pin was marked.
