Buffalo Plaid Wooden Crate

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 Wooden crate
  • Acrylic paint - orange and black, dark gray
  • 1 Medium paintbrush
  • 1 Stencil paintbrush
  • Cricut machine
  • 1 Roll of adhesive vinyl in any color
  • Download the template for the angled plaid square
  • Ruler
  • Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Paint the inside of the wooden crate dark gray with the medium paintbrush.
  2. With ruler and pencil, make vertical lines every 2" across the slats on the side of the crate. Match those lines on the front of the crate as well.
  3. On the Cricut machine, cut out the angled squares from adhesive vinyl. Make the vinyl squares 2"x2".
  4. Following a buffalo plaid pattern, stencil on the angled square with black. To print the pattern, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above). Using the medium brush, paint the solid squares black. Let dry.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • Make sure your plaid patterns line up from the side to the front of the crate.
