Beginner 1-2 Hours

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 Basket
  • 2 Pieces of pink polkadot cotton fabric - 74"x 15"
  • 1 Roll of white iron-on vinyl
  • Sewing machine
  • White thread
  • 2 White large pompoms
  • Iron
  • Cricut® machine
  • Straight pins
  • Large dinner plate or circle 14" in diameter
  • Glue gun and glue sticks

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Lay fabric right sides together down on a flat surface.
  2. Use a dinner plate for an outline at each end of the fabric to create the oval. Trace the plate with a pencil, creating the half curve at each end of the runner. Cut the curves out with scissors.
  3. Pin the two pieces together and sew a 1/4" seam allowance, leaving an opening of 4" on one side of the runner. Invert the fabric and press flat with an iron.
  4. Topstitch the entire runner 1/8" from the edge. This will close the opening.
  5. Go onto Design Space and upload the bunny image #M40302.
  6. Using your Cricut® machine, size the image to fit the runner and cut out the bunny on the iron-on white vinyl.
  7. Use your iron to iron the bunny onto the runner.
  8. With a glue gun and hot glue attach the pompom tails onto the image on the table runner.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Use a sheet of parchment paper when ironing the vinyl transfer.
