- Mix the fabric pieces by sewing the 2-1/2" strip of a fabric #1 to a 1-1/2" strip of fabric #2, 1-1/2" strip of fabric #1, 1-1/2" strip of fabric #2, and finish with a 1-1/2" strip of fabric #1. This will make an 8-1/2" strip set. Make thirty-eight strip sets.
- Press and cut six 6-1/2" blocks from each strip set.
- Two-hundred twenty-four (224) blocks will be used for the quilt top. Arrange blocks as desired with the stripes going both horizontally and vertically in random fashion.
