SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Acrylic paint - deep purple, silver, pink
- Clear ornament, glass or plastic
- Paper towel
- Plastic cup, optional for drying
- Floral applique
- Tape
- Hot glue
DIRECTIONS:
- Mix your paint color. Use deep purple, silver, and pink to create an iridescent, glowy purple.
- Take the top off the clear ornament and drop paint onto two sides of the orb, cover the opening with a paper towel and swirl paint around the interior of the ornament, adding more paint as needed to cover.
- Set on a plastic cup, opening facing down so that extra paint can drip into the cup, and leave ornament on cup to dry.
- Once dry, reinsert the top of the ornament.
- Use tape (double-sided or fold single-sided tape in half) and apply to back of appliques. Place the appliques onto the ornament, and arrange them until you've got them where you want. Lift up corners and place a dab of hot glue onto each applique and allow to cool. Remove tape from each applique, and finish hot glueing the rest of the way.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- Add a little water to the acrylic paint to help it move around the interior of the ornament.
