SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Canvas zippered pouches
- FolkArt® acrylic paint - baby pink
- DecoArt® crafter's acrylic paint - black
- DecoArt® Americana acrylic paint - bright orange
- DecoArt® Americana acrylic paint - grey sky
- Pencil
- Paintbrush
- Black embroidery thread
- Embroidery needle
- Scissors
- Pattern templates
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly trace the pattern template in pencil onto the canvas pouch. To print the templates, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
- Paint the sections of the design with acrylic paint (do not paint the eyes or whiskers).
- Allow to dry.
- Cut a length of embroidery thread and knot one end. Work from inside the pouch to the front. Embroider the eyes and whiskers using the back stitch method. Embroider the dots around the fox nose with French knots.
- Knot the thread on the inside of the pouch and trim.
JOANN Hacks:
- Trace the pattern very lightly in pencil and paint over any pencil lines that are showing.
