SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1 pk pony beads
- 1 pk chenille stems (pipe cleaners)
- Wire cutters
DIRECTIONS:
- Match 17 colored beads to each of 7 pipe cleaners.
- Group the 7 pipe cleaners at the bottom and twist together to make the base of the apple.
- Slide 17 beads onto each pipe cleaner.
- Once you reach the top on all 7 pipe cleaners with beads, twist the top of the pipe cleaners together.
- Using your wire cutters, snip off the top leaving about a 1/2" stem.
- Select 1 pipe cleaner to make into 2 small leaves with stems on them, about 1 1/2" in length.
- Hold the leaves against the stem with two fingers and wrap the stem with a brown pipe cleaner. Snip off the end of the brown pipe cleaner when you reach the top of the stem.
- Bend the beaded pipe cleaners to form the shape of the apple.
JOANN Hacks:
- Always work on a level flat surface.
- Use one the the pipe cleaners at the bottom when twisting them together to wrap around the group base.
