Reusable Sandwich Bag
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 15"x 18" remnant or 1 Fat Quarter™
- 7"x 17" cotton batting
- 3" Velcro®
- Disappearing fabric marker
- Matching thread
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut two pieces of fabric and one piece of batting 7"x 17".
- Baste/pin batting to WS of fabric front.
- Measure in 1 1/2" on short side of front and mark with disappearing marker.
- Center fuzzy side of Velcro at mark and stitch in place.
- Repeat with loopy side of Velcro on lining piece.
- With RST and Velcro on opposite sides, stitch together with a 1/2" seam allowance leaving an opening in the side for turning.
- Clip corners and trim batting close to stitching then turn RS out; press.
- Turn up bottom 6" for pocket, fuzzy Velcro side up.
- Press and pin or baste in place.
- Edge stitch sides and top.
- Fold top down to meet Velcro and press.
JOANN Hacks:
- For optional vinyl lined bags, purchase iron-on vinyl and follow manufacturer's directions to fuse vinyl to lining piece.

- With RST and Velcro on opposite sides, stitch together with a 1/2" seam allowance leaving an opening in the side for turning.
- Clip corners and trim batting close to stitching then turn RS out; press.
- Turn up bottom 5" for pocket, fuzzy Velcro side up.
- Press and pin or baste in place.
- Edge stitch sides and top.
- Fold top down to meet Velcro and press.
