St. Jude Flowers by Tayde Cotton Fabric

JOANN will donate $1.50 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® for every yard sold of St. Jude patient-designed fabric.  

When Tayde was just 7 years old, she began to have unexplained leg pain and fatigue. Soon, bruises developed all over her body. Blood tests in her native Mexico revealed that she suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common form of childhood cancer.
 
Tayde and her family came to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, where she started chemotherapy immediately, and her cancer went into remission after two-and-a-half years of treatment. Unfortunately Tayde’s cancer came back twice, but on both occasions Tayde and her family turned to St. Jude, where she successfully finished treatment in 1995.
 
Today, Tayde works for ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude. “My mission in life is to help the hospital that saved my life,” she said. Tayde and her husband, Scott, now have a daughter, Tayde Sofia, and a son, Jack.
