Sew with 1/2" seam allowance.
- For the first cushion, cut 2 pieces of fabric for the top and bottom - in this case, 31 1/2" x 24 3/4". Then cut two strips 24 3/4" x 3", two strips 31 1/2" x 2", and one strip 31 1/2" x 3".
- Stitch one part of velcro to right side of long 2" strip having edges even.
- Fold under to wrong side and stitch in place.
- Stitch the remaining section of velcro to right side of second 2" strip.
- Overlap the two pieces and connect the velcro closure.
- Trim strip to 3".
- Stitch the short sides of all the 3" strips, starting and stopping 1/2" from ends, having two short sides and 2 longer sides with the velcro strip for back of cushion.
- Pin and stitch this strip to top of cushion.
- Open velcro closure and pin strip to bottom of cushion.
- Turn and insert cushion.
- Cut material for the second cushion in the same manner, being sure to add for seam allowance.
- Stitch this cushion the same as first.
