DIRECTIONS:
- Measure the width of the person to wear the costume. Make it wider on both sides by 10".
- Cut the full shape out so that it can be a sandwich board style costume. Fold the white felt in half and cut a neck opening in the middle at the top of the fold. Make sure you leave both sides open for arm holes.
- On one side, use the Velcro to close the side seam under the arm area and at the top of the side seam so that the person can easily put the costume on. Fold the side inward and glue a seam on both sides.
- Take the pink felt and cut panels in waves to go on top of the white felt. Make them different sizes. Leave the white felt exposed as you are gluing down the light pink strips of felt on top. Work from one end to the other of the costume applying the pink felt on top of the white felt.
- Download the SVG pattern for "Candy Bar" and load it into Design Space to create the logo. The letters should be about 9" tall.
- Cut the letters out of the black felt. Glue them to the light pink felt. Cut the orange foam to be 6" deep by the length of the sheet. Cut the zigag at a 45 degree angle It takes 2 foam sheets to go across the bottom of the costume. Glue it to the backside of the bottom of the costume. Repeat this to go at the top of the costume as well.
JOANN HACKS:
- Go light on the hot glue. It adheres well to felt.
