SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Favorite chocolate cake mix or recipe
- Orange Candy Melts® Candy
- Yellow Candy Melts® Candy
- Bright White Candy Melts® Candy
- Black Icing Pouch with Tip (2 pouches needed)
- White Nonpareils
- Standard 12-Cup Muffin Pan
- Standard White, Black & Silver Baking Cups (black baking cups used)
- Cooling Grid
- Disposable Decorating Bags
- Scissors
- Parchment Paper
- Cake Board
- Tape
- 9" Angled Spatula
DIRECTIONS:
- Bake cupcakes. Prepare your favorite cake batter recipe. Bake and cool cupcakes in black baking cups.
- Melt candy. Melt Orange, Yellow and Bright White candy, separately, according to package instructions. Pour melted candy, separately, into three decorating bags. Cut 1/4" off end of each bag.
- On parchment paper-covered board, pipe stars (Orange and Yellow) and moons (Bright White). Chill until set, about 10 minutes.
- Decorate cupcakes. Knead icing pouches to warm up frosting. Pipe icing over top of cupcakes, using spatula to smooth. Position candy stars and moons on cupcakes. Top with nonpareils.
