DIRECTIONS:
  1. Sketch out the canvas design on a 3 inch x 4 inch rectangle to get a sense of how you will cut each layer of canvas.

  2. Finished dimensions will be roughly 3 feet x 4 feet.

  3. Setting the tan canvas down as the first, top layer of the piece, place the pink strip of canvas on top of the tan so that it leaves 12 inches of exposed tan at top. On the right side of the pink canvas, make a small mark with the disappearing ink pen that is 5 inches down from the top of the pink canvas (or: 17 inches from the top of the tan canvas.) With disappearing ink pen, draw a wobbly line from the top of the pink rectangle that finishes at the 5 inch mark on the right side.

  4. Set the burgundy canvas so that the top is 23 inches down from the top of the tan canvas. On the right side of the burgundy canvas, make a small mark that is 3 inches down from the top of the burgundy canvas (or: 20 inches from the top of the tan canvas.) With disappearing ink pen, draw a wobbly line from the top of the burgundy rectangle that finishes at the 3 inch mark on the right side.

  5. Set the brown canvas so that the top is 29 inches down from the top of the tan canvas. On the right side of the brown canvas, make a small mark that is 2 inches down from the top of the brown canvas (or: 31 inches from the top of the tan canvas.) With disappearing ink pen, draw a wobbly line from the top of the burgundy rectangle that finishes at the 2 inch mark on the right side.

  6. Draw an approximately 9-1/2 inch circle by tracing a circular household object, like a pie dish or a serving bowl, onto the square of natural canvas.

  7. Cut out all canvas strips.

  8. Place pink canvas onto tan canvas, with the left side of the pink canvas 12 inches down from the top of the tan canvas, and the right side of the pink canvas 17 inches down from the top of the tan canvas. Slide Wonder Under underneath the pink canvas and pin in place. Trace the top of the pink canvas onto Wonder Under, then flip onto back side and trace the bottom of the tan canvas onto Wonder Under. Un-pin and cut out shape. Apply Wonder Under to back of pink canvas following Wonder Under instructions.

  9. Repeat for the burgundy layer (placed 23 inches down from the top on the left side, 20 inches down from the top on the right side) and for the brown layer (placed 29 inches down from the top on the left side, 31 inches down from the top on the right side.)

  10. Apply Wonder Under to back of natural canvas circle and center on canvas about 3 - 4 inches from the top and fuse on.

  11. Flip the canvas over and iron edges in 3/4 inch. Tuck fusible hem tape inside hem and iron together, all the way around.

  12. Flip back to front. Using disappearing ink pen, make a mark on top left and top right where the grommets will go (about 1-1/2 inches in from the top and 1-1/2 inches from side, on both sides.) Apply grommets following grommet instructions.
