Cardboard Spinning Top

Here's another fun and easy project that makes good use of old cardboard. Gather the kids and have a blast crafting cardboard spinners! First trace a 3"-4" round object onto a piece of cardboard. Cut this out and trace the cardboard circle onto a sheet of paper. After you cut this out, the really fun part begins! Use markers, crayons and colored pecils to create a unique design on the paper circle. Encourage kids to get creative with their designs! Once the designs are complete, glue the paper circles onto the cardboard ones. Cut a small slit through the center of each and insert a quarter halfway through. Use the quarter to give it a spin! When kids see how easy these spinners are to make, they'll want to craft a bunch. Make sure you have enough markers and coloring supplies!
