SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

- Size U.S. H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
MEASUREMENTS:
One size fits all.
Approx 38" wide x 28 1/2" long from shoulder.
Panel measurements: Approx 19" wide x 57" long.
GAUGE:
14 single crochet (sc) and 16 rows = 4".
DIRECTIONS:
To begin (beg) working with the O’Go format, carefully cut plastic tie where the ends of the O’Go meet. Pull tie to remove. Start crocheting.Shawl is worked in 2 panels from bottom front edge to bottom back edge and seamed together (tog) in Finishing.
Use first 2 O'Gos as a set for first Panel and second 2 O'Gos as a set for second Panel.
Beg working from darkest end of O'Go at bottom edge of Panel.
To maintain ombre effect join second O'Go when necessary from opposite end so shades match (lightest end to lightest end) resulting in a fade from dark to light, and back again across the Panel.
Panel 1
With first O'Go of set, beg at lightest end, loosely chain (ch) 67.
1st row: [Right side (RS)]. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 66 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in back loop only (scbl) in each of first 7 sc. 1 sc in each sc to last 7 sc. 1 scbl in each of last 7 sc. Turn.
Repeat (rep) 2nd row until work from beg measures 57".
Fasten off.
Panel 2
Work as for Panel 1, using second set of O'Gos.
Finishing
With last rows aligned and RS facing, sew Panels tog along center line to half-way (28 1/2") as shown in diagram, making sure to hide seam.
