Size U.S. 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needle 36" [91.5 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.

MEASUREMENTS
One Size Fits All:
Approx 38" [96.5 cm] wide x 24" [61 cm] long.
GAUGE
16 sts and 26 rows = 4" [10 cm] in Ridge Stitch pat.

DIRECTIONS
Back
Cast on 152 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, knit 7 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS.
Proceed in pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K5. Purl to last 5 sts. K5.
3rd and 4th rows: Knit. These 4 rows form Ridge St pat and 5 garter sts at each end of needle.
Keeping cont of pat, having 5 garter sts at each end of needle, cont even until work from beg measures approx 23" [58.5 cm], ending on 3rd row of pat.
Knit 6 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise (WS).
Front
Cast on 152 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, knit 7 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS.
1st row: (RS). K59. P2. (K1. yo. K1). P2. K2tog. yo. (K2tog) 3 times. (yo. K1) 6 times. (K2tog) 3 times. yo. ssk. P2. (K1. yo. K1). P2. K59. 154 sts.
2nd row: K5. P54. K2. P3. K2. P22. K2. P3. K2. p54. K5. 154 sts.
3rd row: K59. P2. K3psso. P2. K22. P2. K3psso. P2. K59. 152 sts.
4th row: K61. P1. K2. P22. K2. P1. K61. 152 sts.
These 4 rows form Lace Cable Panel at center, Ridge St pat and 5 garter sts at each end of needle.
Keeping cont of pat, rep last 4 rows until work from beg measures approx 23" [58.5 cm], ending on 3rd row of Ridge St pat. Knit 6 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise.
FINISHING
Pin pieces to measurements. Cover with damp cloth, leaving cloth to dry. Sew Front and Back shoulders along top edge approx 13½" [34.5 cm] from each edge, leaving 11" [28 cm] open for neck opening.
