**Cast on 67 (75-83-91-99) sts loosely. Proceed in Lacy Rib pat (multiple of 4 sts + 3) as follows:

1st row: (RS). K3. *yo. Sl1. yo. K3. Rep from * to end of row. 2nd row: P3. *yo. Slip (first yo and next st). Drop next yo. yo. P3. Rep from * to end of row. 3rd row: K3. *K3tog. K3. Rep from * to end of row. 4th row: P3. *yo. Sl1P. yo. P3. Rep from * to end of row. 5th row: K3. * yo. Slip (first yo and next st). Drop next yo. yo. K3. Rep from * to end of row. 6th row: P3. * P3tog. P3. Rep from * to end of row. Rep 1st to 6th rows for Lace Rib pat until work from beg measures 14 (14½-14½-15-15)" ending on 8th row. Work 2 rows in stocking st.

 

Shape armholes: Cast off 2 (3-45-6) sts beg next 2 rows. 63 (6975-81-87) sts. 1st row: (RS). K2. K2tog. Knit to last 4 sts. ssk. K2. 2nd row: Purl. Rep last 2 rows 3 (4-5-6-7) times more. 55 (59-63-67-71) sts.** Work even in stocking st until armhole measures 7 (7½-8-8½-9)" [18 (19-20.5-21.5-23) cm], ending on a purl row. Cast off loosely.

 

FRONT

Work from ** to ** as given for Back. 55 (59-63-67-71) sts. Work even in stocking st until armhole measures 3 (3½-44½-5)" [7.5 (8.5-10-11.5-12.5) cm], ending on a purl row.

 

Shape neck: 1st row: K22 (2426-28-30). Turn. Leave rem sts on a spare needle. 2nd row: Cast off 3 sts. Purl to end of row. 3rd row: Knit. 4th row: Cast off 2 sts. Purl to end of row. 5th row: Knit to last 2 sts. K2tog. 6th row: Purl. Rep last 2 rows 4 times more. Cast off rem 12 (14-16-18-20) sts. With RS facing, join yarn to rem sts. 22 (24-26-28-30) sts. 1st row: Cast off 11 sts. Knit to end of row. 2nd and alt rows: Purl. 3rd row: Cast off 2 sts. Knit to end of row. 5th row: ssk. Knit to end of row. 6th row: As 4th row. Rep last 2 rows 4 times more. Cast off rem 12 (14-16-18-20) sts.

 

FINISHING

Sew shoulder and side seams.

 

Neck edging: With RS facing, using crochet hook, join yarn with sl st at shoulder seam. Ch 1, work 1 row of sc evenly around neck edge, join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
