SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Caron® One Pound™:
• Main Color (MC) Dark Gray Mix, 2 balls
• Contrast A Midnight Blue, 1 ball
• Contrast B Ocean, 1 ball
• Size U.S. 8 (5 mm) knitting needles.
• Size U.S. 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needle 40" long or size needed to obtain gauge.


• MEASUREMENT
• Approx 55" square.
• GAUGE
• 15 sts and 28 rows = 4" in garter st.

DIRECTIONS:

Motifs
Make 18 using A as Color 2.
Make 18 using B as Color 2.

With MC and pair of needles, cast on 3 sts.
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: Kfb. Knit to end of row. Rep last row, inc 1 st at beg of every row to 48 sts, ending on a WS row. Break MC.
Next row: With Color 2, K1. K2tog. Knit to end of row. Rep last row, dec 1 st at beg of every row to 3 sts.
Next row: K3tog. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew Motifs tog as shown in diagram on page 2, using a at seam.
Border
With RS facing, MC, and circular needle, pick up and knit 204 sts evenly along side edge of Blanket. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
Knit 4 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS).
Rep for opposite side edge of Blanket.
With RS facing, MC and circular needle, pick up and knit 208 sts evenly along top edge of Blanket.
Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows: Knit 4 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS). Rep for bottom edge of Blanket.
