Side shaping creates sleeves & right & left front are divided at shoulders.
DIRECTIONS:
BODY:Beg at lower back edge, ch 58 (62-66-70).
Set-up row: (RS). 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. *Ch 1. Skip next ch. 1 dc in next ch. Rep from * to end of ch. Turn. 56 (60-64-68) sts.
1st row: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in first ch-1 sp. *Ch 1. Skip next dc. 1 dc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 dc. Ch 1. Skip next dc. 1 dc in top of turning ch 3. Turn.
Rep last row for Mesh Pat until piece from beg measures 9 1/2" (10", 11", 11 1/2")", ending on a WS row.
Shape Sleeves: Next 4 rows: Ch 6. 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. Ch 1. Skip next ch. 1 dc in next ch. Pat to end of row. Turn.
NOTE:
4 sts are inc'd each row - total 16 sts inc'd. 72 (76-80-84) sts. Place markers at each end of last inc row.
Cont in Mesh Pat until piece from beg measures: 15" (16", 17", 18"), ending on a WS row.
Place markers for shoulders at each end of last row.
Divide For Fronts:
Next row: (RS). Pat across 30 (32-34-36) sts for right front.
Turn.
Leave rem sts unworked.
Shape Neck Edge:
1st row: Ch 3. 1 dc in first dc (inc made). 1 dc in next ch-1 sp. Pat to end of row. Turn.
2nd row: Pat to last 3 dc. Ch 1. Skip next dc. 1 dc in next dc. 2 dc in last dc (inc made). Turn.
Rep last 2 rows 3 times more. 36 (38-40-42) sts.
Cont even in Mesh Pat until Right Front from shoulder marker measures same distance from last sleeve inc marker on back to shoulder marker to begin sleeve dec shaping, ending on a RS row.
Shape Sleeve:
**1st row: Pat to last 4 sts. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
2nd row: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in first ch-1 sp. *Ch 1. Skip next dc. 1 dc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 dc. Ch 1. Skip next dc. 1 dc in top of turning ch 3. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in first ch-1 sp. *Ch 1. Skip next dc. 1 dc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 4 dc. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.**
Cont even in Mesh Pat over rem 28 (30-32-34) sts until right front from shoulder marker measures 15" (16", 17", 18"). Fasten off.
Left Front:
With RS facing, skip next 12 sts at center back.
Rejoin yarn with sl st to next dc. Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in next ch-1 sp. Pat to end of row. 30 (32-34-36) sts.
Shape Neck Edge:
1st row: Pat to last 2 dc. Ch 1. Skip next dc. 2 dc in last dc (inc made). Turn.
2nd row: Ch 3. 1 dc in first dc (inc made). Pat to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows 3 times more. 36 (38-40-42) sts.
Cont even in Mesh Pat until left front from shoulder marker measures same distance from last sleeve inc marker on back to shoulder marker to begin sleeve dec shaping, ending on a WS row.
Shape Sleeve:
Work from ** to ** as given for right front.
Cont even in Mesh Pat over rem 28 (30-32-34) sts until left front from shoulder marker measures 15" (16", 17", 18").
Fasten off.
FINISHING:
Sew side seams.
Front Ties:
With RS facing join yarn with sl st at base of right front neck shaping (see diagram)
Ch 10" long.
Sl st back into each ch and fasten off.
Rep at base of left front neck shaping.
