Not all skeins are 6 oz
I like this yarn. I bought 3 skeins of 3 different colors for a striped afghan. I ran out of 1 color but all of the other colors had over half a skein left. I guess I need to weigh each skein before I use it to make sure I will have enough.

Why make finding the ends difficult!
I’ve been crocheting most of my life. I started a project using this brand of yarn. Why do I have to spend an hour Trying to find the end/beginning of a skein? Other brands make it easy. Just so frustrating! Plus I’ve had pieces tied together. Not right.

Disappointed
I ordered a kit to make a project I saw on the website, but one of the colors was not available so I marked a substitute color. When the kit arrived, that color was not in the box. It said not available on the invoice. So now I have looked - not available. I would rather not have purchased the kit than to only have 2 of the 3 colors. I'm waiting to see if an appropriate color come available, but it hasn't so far.

Terrible. Splits!!!
I have been crocheting for approximately 50years and this yarn splits with almost every stitch. Very frustrating!!! Yes, the yarn is soft, but not worth the frustration. I will buy Big Twist Shine in the future!!!!! It's a better value, and just as soft.

Nice Yarn, But Poor Quality Control
I used to love Simply Soft yarn and have made many large baby blankets with it over the past several years. It works great, looks nice, and washes well. Recipients have been happy with their blankets. However, I am about ready to quit buying it because of the numerous flaws that are cropping up in the yarn. I recently purchased six skeins to make a blanket. Only two of the skeins did not have a serious flaw that required cutting out. While it may not be a big deal on projects like sweaters, it is a problem with a blanket that is 190 stitches per row wide and over 300 rows long where you don’t want numerous tie-ins and don’t want them at the end of the row. Very disappointed with Caron.

I bought this and the colors were nice and pretty but the feel is terrible and it hurts my fingers to work with it if you are planning on buying this, I wouldn't. it always slipped out of my hands so I would not recommend this yarn.

Great yarn at a good price
I purchased Caron Simply Soft to make a rainbow-hued cross-body bag for myself. Love it. It worked up quickly, has a nice feel, colors pop. Couldn’t find the colors I wanted in a worsted weight, so went with a finer yarn & crocheted with a double strand. Perfect! Love the easy-start, no need to go searching in the middle of the skein!

Well, YES, I chose Caron Simply Soft.
I chose Simply Soft for a baby blanket because it is soft and completely machine washable. Being acrylic means that it wears extremely well, and I knew that some things turn out to be a favorite item and will be drug around, so I wanted it to be durable and machine washable. This yarn comes in great colors with no dye lots, another plus.

Nice yarn, great skein construction
This yarn is nice and soft, but it does split more than many brands I've used. What I LOVE is that the end is so easy to pull from the skein and stays nice and untangled to the very last inch. Every time.

My new favorite acrylic yarn for knitting
I love the soft, silky feel of this yarn and it has a bit of a shine to it. It's absolutely gorgeous and I will be using it for my current knitting project. The only con is that you do have to be a bit careful with it because it is a little on the easier side to split while crocheting, but I don't have that issue using it in knitting.
