SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Pretzel Rods
- Wilton Royal Icing or Homemade Royal Icing
- Green Food Coloring
- Various Colored Candy Melts
- Cookie Sheets & Parchment Paper
- Leaf Icing Tips
- Icing Decorating Bags
- Microwave Safe Glasses or Bowls
- Spoons
DIRECTIONS:
- Follow instructions on the bags of candy melts to melt colors desired for carrots.
- Dip pretzel rods into candy melts and use spoon to cover pretzel rod 1/2"- 3/4" in chocolate and place on parchment paper lined cookie sheets.
- Put remaining chocolate into decorating bags and cut small hole at tip of bag to drizzle chocolate onto pretzel rods to look like lines on carrots.
- Once that chocolate has dried, melt green candy melts and dip end of pretzel rods about 1.5-2"
- Use directions on Wilton meringue powder to mix up royal icing or use premade royal icing. Tint royal icing to same color as green candy melts.
- Place leaf icing tip into decorating bag and fill with the green royal icing.
- Pipe leaves over the green part of the carrot.
- Allow to dry completely before packaging up.
