Quality fabric!
I purchased this fabric to make an Easter dress and I will definitely buy it again! I am very happy with the quality of the fabric! This satin fabric had the perfect shine, weight, color and it did not fray at all! It is Quality fabric!!

Excellent mid-grade satin
I've been using a variety of different satins from Joann's to make pageant sashes for the last few years. How I never noticed this particular fabric escapes me. But I'm so glad I ended up with it in my stash.
It's price point is slightly less expensive than bridal satin and not much more than the lower-grade costume satin. It has a nice hand and in a 57" width, it is much more economical for my use. Using the rotary cutter, this fabric cuts nicely with a minimum of shredding/pulling when the pieces are separated. Some lower-grade satins tend to stick to the cutting mat and pull a bit. As with the rest of the satins at Joann, it is 100% polyester, so take that into consideration when choosing your fabric as well.
I'm docking one star from an otherwise "Excellent" rating because it only comes in a small range of colors. Thankfully, it does come in white and black which will satisfy some of my clients. I do wish there were more standard colors like royal blue, red, green and hot pink. Those would round out the selection nicely and would be better for my clients.
