All seams are 5/8” unless stated.
  1. To make the pattern for the cascading ruffles, start by drawing a 5” line AB in the center of the paper. To find the downloadable diagram for the ruffle, click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.
  2. Beginning at point “A”, draw a spiral around the line AB. Try to maintain about 5” spacing between the rows of the spiral.
  3. After a few rotations, take the flexible tape measure and measure the spiral starting from point “A”. Mark the length of the center front seam of the shirt on the spiral – point “C”.
  4. Follow the spiral from point “B” and blend the “B” line to meet point “C”
  5. Finish the edge of the ruffle with a narrow rolled hem.
  6. Pin or baste the ruffle inside seam to center front of shirt. Construct the rest of the shirt following the instructions provided with the pattern.
