DIRECTIONS:
- Go to this project on Cricut Design Space to make this-
- Design Space Link
- This project makes a pumpkin design piece that is 8"x 10". You can customize your project size by clicking "Customize" button in the bottom right of the project screen. Hit "Make It" to make the project as is.
- Prep:
- Paint your pumpkin black.
- Cut:
- Add white cardstock to the mat. The color of the canvas mat matches the color of the paper that is put on it.
- Change machine setting to Cardstock to cut.
- When the green Cricut light flashes, press to start.
- After the white, cut black, then glitter gold, then teal.
- Add the blush vinyl to the mat.
- Change the machine setting to vinyl to cut.
- Assembly:
- Assemble the bow by gluing the teal bow cutout over the gold bow cutout with spray adhesive.
- Attach it over the second gold bow cutout for added dimension with foam adhesive squares. Glue a toothpick to the back, or glue to the stem of your pumpkin with hot glue.
- Use spray adhesive to attach the pupils to the cat's eyes, then attach the eyes to the pumpkin by gluing them to toothpicks, or using adhesive foam squares.
- Glue the whisker pieces together with hot glue, and attach three each to two toothpicks, or use black adhesive foam squares.
- Remove the unneeded pieces of vinyl using a weeder tool. It is usually easiest to move from the inside out when weeding.
- Use transfer tape and your scraper tool to apply the vinyl cuts to your project. Make sure surfaces you plan to adhere to are clean and dry.
- TIP: If you have never used vinyl before, check out the links below in the More Help section.
- Attach the pink and white inner ears to the black ears. We used foam adhesive squares to give them a bit more dimension. Glue the ears to toothpicks with hot glue, and insert into the pumpkin.
