SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Tooling leather - 6-7 oz. (2.4 mm)
• StrongGrip machine mat - 12"x 12"
• Knife blade + housing
• Masking tape
• Leather sewing needle
• Fine debossing tip + QuickSwap housing
• Brayer
• Leather awl
• Leather dye (optional)
• Waxed thread
• Chemo beanie

Size: 1"x 1.25" (2.5 cm x 3.2 cm)
Preparation

1. If you want to alter the project, select Customize, then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes before you cut.
2. Adhere the leather faceup, firmly onto the mat by using hand pressure or a rolling brayer. Secure the edges with masking tape.
Cut

3. Follow the prompts in Design Space™ to deboss and cut the images from the leather.
4. Before removing your project from the machine, double check that your project has cut all the way through and perform another cut pass if necessary before unloading the mat.
Assemble

5. Use the leather dye to obtain the color you want.
6. Use the awl to create stitch lines along the sides of the shape.
7. Use the waxed thread to sew the shape to one side of the beanie, following the stitch lines.
