SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Embroidery hoops (3 sizes)
  • Felt leaf garland
  • Green paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Wood beads
  • Green yarn
  • Clothespins
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Separate the embroidery hoops and set the outer adjustable hoops aside.

  2. Use paintbrush to paint the three inner hoops green. Allow paint to dry for about 1 hour.

  3. Once hoops are dry, use hot glue to attach one end of the felt leaf garland to the edge of one of the hoops. Drape the garland along the edge of the hoop, attaching the garland at three different points using hot glue. Trim excess garland and repeat for all three hoops.

  4. Use scissors to cut nine 18" pieces of green yarn. Attach 3 of the pieces of yarn to the smallest hoop, making sure the yarn is evenly distributed so the hanging tree is balanced.

  5. String wooden beads on the yarn and attach all three pieces of yarn together at the top.

  6. Attach 3 more pieces of yarn to the small hoop, making the yarn hang below the hoop. Strand wooden beads on the yarn, then attach the yarn to the second biggest hoop, making sure the two hoops hang level with one another. Repeat with the largest hoop.

  7. Use hot glue to attach clothespins along the edges of the hoops for hanging Christmas cards.
