SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Yarn, string, cord and/or floss in assorted colors
  • Pom pom maker
  • Scissors
  • Kraft paper
  • Gift wrap or fabric
  • Tapestry needle

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Pom Pom Giftwrap:
  2. Make 3 pom poms in 2 different sizes (choose size based on gift size) according to package instructions. To make multi-color pom poms, wrap the first color around the tool 15-25 times, followed by the second color, right next to it. Continue wrapping until you have filled the whole length of the tool and have used all colors.
  3. Wrap gift. You can wrap the gift with fabric or paper. Use yarn to wrap around and secure on top.
  4. String pom poms together by using a short piece of yarn threaded with a tapestry needle. Run the needle through the center of the pom poms and use both ends to tie around the yarn already on the gift.
  5. Christmas Tree Floss Tree:
  6. Wrap gift as desired using paper or fabric.
  7. Cut a long piece of floss. Tape one end to the middle of the bottom of the gift. Wrap the gift multiple times. Wrap one side of the gift close together and the other end far apart to create a tree shape.
  8. Cut floss and tape the end to the bottom.
  9. Tie a bow in a contrasting color at the top of the tree.
  10. Stamped Giftwrap:
  11. Roll out desired amount of paper.
  12. Take rubber stamp and stamp it into the ink multiple times to cover the entire surface.
  13. Press stamp onto paper.
  14. Repeat steps 2 and 3 and create your desired pattern.
