DIRECTIONS:
- Go to this project on Cricut Design Space to make this:
- Use masking tape or painter’s tape to secure the edges of the basswood to your mat.
- Follow the prompts in Design Space to cut images from the basswood, using the correct cut setting and the knife blade.
- Before removing your project from the machine, double check to make sure your project has cut all the way through and perform another cut pass if necessary before unloading the mat.
- Glue the vellum onto the wrong side of the basswood shapes with adhesive for paper, avoiding the cut out area so that the glue is not visible from the outside on the vellum, making sure to cover all window cutouts with the vellum.
- Dry fit all pieces together to make sure you understand the arrangement and direction for the best fit. Lightly sand any areas that need adjusting.
- Set the front piece of the house on a flat, clean surface. Run a bead of wood glue or hot glue along the inside of the right wall of the the house. Place the wall at a 90 degree angle to the front of the house, flush to the bottom edge. Hold until the glue has set the pieces in place. Repeat with the left wall.
- Place the back portion of the house on the flat surface and repeat with the assembled front portion of the house, careful to keep the walls and back portion flush.
- Carefully sand any glue spots or rough edges away.
- Run a bead of wood glue or hot glue along the top edges of the house and place the right roof piece so that it is flush with all edges. Hold in place until the glue sets. Repeat with the left roof piece.
- Carefully sand any glue spots or rough edges away.
- Only use a battery-operated tea light placed in the middle of the house so that it does not touch any sides if lighting is desired.
- Cut and assemble multiples and/or some of the other house projects to create an entire village scene.

The App won’t even let me download the patterns
I never got the chance to try this because the App gives me an error message about the “coupon already being in the cart” when I try to download the house patterns. Your projects are notoriously full of glitches and poor instructions
