SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® WOW Yarn Skein, Color of Choice (4)
  • Size 15 Knitting Needles
  • Crochet Hook (to tuck in ends)

DIRECTIONS:

Cast on 10 stitches
Set up row:
S1, *yf-Sl1-YO, k1* to 1 stitch before end, k1
Row 1:
Sl1, *Yf-Sl1-YO-BRK1* to 1 stitch before end, k1
Repeat row 1 until you've reached the end of your skein (keep in mind if you'd like matching fringe on the end save a little for that)
Attach color 2 and continue with row 1 until end of skein
Attach color 3 and continue with row 1 until end of skein
Attach color 4 and continue with row 1 until end of skein (keep in mind if you'd like matching fringe on the end save a little for that)
Bind off
Tuck in ends

Sl = Slip 1
Yf = yarn in front
YO = yarn over
BRK = brioche knit
K = knit

JOANN HACKS:

  • Brioche knitting is a great stitch to use for scarves because it creates a stretchy, double-sided fabric. There is no "bad side
  • This same pattern can be used for any side yarn. The stitch pattern will remain the same with the yarn thickness decreasing as your yarn weight decreases.
