DESCRIPTION +

JACKET
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Pattern reference: McCall’s #7254
  • Fabric and notions from pattern envelope for jacket
  • 1 1/2 yd. of Black Fabric.
  • 2 yds. each of three different trims
  • 1 Hook for center front closing of jacket
  • 1 yd. of Velcro
  • Kraft paper
  • Sewing notions

DIRECTIONS:
  1. All seams are 5/8” unless stated.
  2. Jacket, McCall’s 7254, follow pattern per instructions except cut 1 out of sequins fabric and cut 1 out of black.
  3. When Jacket is complete, sew 3 trims, spacing them 1/2” apart around the front and collar.
  4. Added Separate Cuffs: Trace the outline of the width of sleeve, then measure up 6”, cut 4. Sew right sides together leaving one side open for turning. Turn, press, add 3 trims to the top edge only and down one edge. Add Velcro to both sides for closure. The unfinished edge can be closed when sewing Velcro to the edge.
  5. V insert: On Kraft paper, measure desired length of insert (approximately 11”) and a width of 7” at the top. Gradually narrow to 1 1/2” at bottom. This can be adjusted depending on desired length and width. Fold insert in half, mark down 1 1/4” at the center going to the outer edge creating a slight V. Sew sides and bottom, right sides together 1/4” seam, turn and press. Serge or zig zag top V and add trim. Place Velcro on both edges to the inside of jacket to secure.
  6. Place hook at front closing where desired. Hand crochet eyelet.

HAT
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Maker’s Halloween Black Glitter Fascinator with Feathers
  • Scissors
  • Quick-drying fabric glue
  • 10 inches stretch red sequin apparel trim

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Remove black feathers and ribbon.
  2. Glue around the base of the hat where you removed the ribbon.
  3. Attach the red sequin trim. Let dry.
