DIRECTIONS:

Paint the wooden base gold and let it dry.
Paint: 3 wooden cups green, 3 wooden cups red and 1 wooden cup black and let then dry.
Measure the placements for the 7 cups. Start in the middle with the black cup. Do a dry run of the placements to make sure you like the spacing. Once you have them in place, lift each one and apply a small amount of glue to the bottom and then set it back in place. Once you have set them all in place, double check and you can slightly move them to line up.
Fill the wooden cups with extra modeling clay about 1" tall. Let them dry.
Take the model clay and in each color, roll out a long tube about 1/4" in diameter.
Cut them into 5" lengths and stack three of them. Two on the bottom and one on top.
Twist them to make the candles. Use your knife to cut off straight ends. Make three in each color and one black one. Since the black on will be in the middle, you can make it taller.
Using your wire cutters, cut off the heads of all the pins.
Take the adhesive gold glitter foamie and cut two strips about 1" tall.
Remove the backer paper and lay the cut pins on the sticky side about 1" apart.
Remove the backer paper on the other strip and lay it down sticky side sandwiching the pins in between the two layers.
Use your scissors to cut out the flames.
Using your hot glue gun, glue the candles on top of the modeling clay of each wooden cup/.
Insert the gold flames into the top of each candle.

JOANN HACKS:

To make the clay smooth while rolling it and twisting, lightly wet your hands to prevent drying out the clay.
