When I read that the thread was metallic polyester, I decided it was better than the nylon/metallic/cotton thread that I was using. That thread was constantly snapping, breaking and pretty soon I was sewing with the nylon core. This was hand-sewing gold braid on a project, mind you. I can't imagine how it behaves with a sewing machine if it breaks while hand-sewing. Well, when I received the thread, it was not metallic polyester. In fact, the product showed that I had bought the nylon/metallic/cotton thread again. Because of the high volume of online sales, it took three weeks to get it. So it is not a complete loss, I will most likely use it as a carry-along thread while crocheting a project as it won't add weight to my thread crochet.
