DIRECTIONS:
- Mix equal parts resin and resin hardener, stirring slowly for 3-5 minutes. The Coffin Box Mold will use about 140ML of resin.
- Split resin into four parts. Mix one with transparent black dye, mix one with transparent black dye & faux crushed glass, leave one clear, and mix a very small amount of resin with opaque white dye.
- Pour transparent black dye resin mixture into the coffin box filling the sides.
- Pour transparent black dye & faux crushed glass mixture to fill coffin box. Add a few dollops to the lid mold.
- Pour clear resin to almost fill lid mold. Add drops of transparent black dye to the surface in a few places. Add white opaque dye directly over the black dye drops.
- Drizzle white dye resin mixture over the entire surface of the resin in the coffin lid. Use a heat gun to gently push the white resin around. This will create a blooming effect. It works best to use a mixing stick or even pour the mixture into a disposable piping bag for added control.
- Let the resin cure on a flat surface for 24-48 hours.
JOANN HACKS:
- Try adding glow in the dark pigments or confetti for more spooky fun!
- To diminish bubbles, mix room temperature resin slowly and use a heat gun to help pop bubbles after they are in the mold.
