Color Block Pillow Covers

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1 yd terracotta for 20" pillow
• 1/3 yd tan for 20" pillow
• 20" pillow form
• 1 yd white for 14" x 28" pillow
• 1/2 yd peach for 14" x 28" pillow
• 14" x 28" pillow form
• Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

For 20" pillow

1. Cut two 8 1/2" x 21" from terracotta for front stripe.
2. Cut two 14" x 21" for back from terracotta.
3. Cut one 6" x 21" for center stripe.
4. Sew the two terracotta stripes to each side of tan stripe.
5. Press seams open.
6. Fold under 1/2" on one side of each of back pieces.
7. With RST, overlap back pieces to fit over front.
8. Stitch around outside.
9. Turn and insert pillow.

For 14" x 28" pillow

1. Cut two 6" x 15" from peach.
2. Cut two 4" x 15" from white.
3. Cut one 13" x 15" from white.
4. Cut two 18" x 15" from white for back of pillow.
5. Stitch the two 6" peach strips to sides of 13" white piece.
6. Stitch the two 4" white pieces to each side of the peach pieces.
7. Fold under 1/2" on one side of each of back pieces.
8. With RST, stitch back to front, overlapping back pieces to fit front.
9. Turn and insert pillow form.
