Color Bold Table Knit Blanket

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn Skein, Purple Rain (Contrast A)
• Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn Skein, Tropical Temptation (Contrast B)
• Bernat® Blanket Extra Thick™ Yarn Skein, Sunny Days (Contrast C)
• Crochet Hook


• SIZE: 2.5 stitches (sts) and 3.5 rows = 4" in stocking st


• MEASUREMENTS: Approx (Approximately) 50" x 60"

DIRECTIONS:

With A, make a slip knot, being sure to keep the loop loose enough to fit fingers through.

Foundation row: Using pointer finger and thumb, pull working yarn up through loop to create a chain stitch. Continue in this manner, making sure to keep the loops loose, until you have 32 chains.
1st row: Lay chain flat, with 'smooth' side facing up, and working yarn at right end of chain. Working from right to left, with working yarn held at back of work, *pull loop approximately 2" long from working yarn up from through top of second chain at back. (Skipped first chain already has 'live' loop which counts as first stitch of row). Repeat from * to end of chain. Do not turn work. 32 stitches.
2nd row: Working from left to right, and with working yarn held at front of work, pull loop approximately 2" long from working yarn up through first stitch from front to back to create purl stitch. Repeat "purl stitch" for second stitch. *With working yarn held at back of work, pull loop approximately 2" long from working yarn up through next stitch from back to front to create "knit stitch". Repeat from * to last 2 stitches. Work "purl stitch" over last 2 stitches. Do not turn work.
3rd row: Working from right to left, and with working yarn held at back of work, pull loop approximately 2" long from working yarn up through first stitch from back to front. *With working yarn held at back of work, pull loop approximately 2" long from working yarn up through next stitch from back to front. Repeat from * to end of row. Do not turn work.

Rep 2nd and 3rd rows until work from beginning measures approximately 20", ending on a 2nd row.
With B, rep 2nd and 3rd rows until work from beginning measures approximately 40", ending on a 2nd row.
With C, rep 2nd and 3rd rows until work from beginning measures approximately 60", ending on a 2nd row.

Bind off: Next row: Working from right to left, pull loop approximately 2" long from working yarn up through first stitch at back. *Pull loop approximately 2" long from working yarn up through next stitch. Pull stitch just made through previous stitch. Rep from * to end of row. Break C, leaving a tail. Pull tail through remaining loop and pull to secure.

FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
