- Bernat Blanket Color Pooling: Gray White (1 ball)
- Size U.S. 10 (6 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
- 20" [51 cm] square pillow form.
- MEASUREMENTS
- Approx 20" [51 cm] square.
- GAUGE
- 9 sts and 15 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stocking st.
- Note: It is critical to match gauge to achieve correct results. You may have to tighten or loosen some stitches as you go in order to keep required amount of sts. Keep a variety of needle sizes on hand
DIRECTIONS:
Cast on 44 sts.1st row: (RS). With Color 1, K1. Find spot where Color 2 starts. Pull rem of Color 1 as waste and with Color 2, K43. Later you will cut excess of Color 1 and secure ends. (This is first time you have to adjust color sections. Next time this occurs you will attach next ball of yarn to make perfect match of color sections to continue color pooling effect). 44 sts.
2nd row: Cont working in count of 43 sts, purl to end of row.
3rd row: Cont working in count of 43 sts, knit to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures approx 40" [101.5 cm], ending on a WS row.
Cast off.
Sew first and last rows tog. Fold pillow cover flat so pattern will be centered (seam might be off bottom towards back). Sew side seam. Insert pillow form. Sew opening closed.
