SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1/4 yd cotton eyelet fabric
- 1 1/2" headband
- Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut a 30"x 4" piece of cotton eyelet fabric.
- Fold in half and sew right sides together.
- Turn right side out and press so that the seam is in the middle and not on an edge.
- Slide headband through tube of fabric.
- Fold ends of fabric in to finish ends and carefully glue one end to headband.
- Pull fabric gently to flatten the fabric against the outside of the headband approximately 3 1/2" from end of headband.
- Fold fabric to inside and glue to create a finished look on the one end.
- Gather or "scrunch" fabric so that you are left with enough fabric to repeat the flattened fabric look on the other end and secure with hot glue.
JOANN HACKS:
- When using hot glue, keep a glass of water close in case the glue gets on your fingers.
- Use Wonder Clips or binding clips to hold fabric on headband as you glue.
